About Us
Jess is the creator of Rooted in Process, a consulting, facilitating, and training firm that works to help groups make decisions together using structured processes. The wisdom is contained in the group and our firm helps uncover it. We coach and consult on issues such as board governance, stakeholders, and project management. Jess has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, has worked in government for over 20 years, is the founder of the Sierra Pines Coalition, and volunteers her time in many different community issues. The heart of working on issues important to communities is valuing the diverse perspectives of all and using participatory decision making processes as the foundation. Our work can include: strategic planning sessions, action planning sessions, consensus workshops, workshop/event design, World Cafe workshops. We work in the virtual space using platforms such as Zoom, Trello, Miro, Google Docs/Slides/Forms and in-person.
