The Greater Pasco Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven executive to serve as its next President & Chief Executive Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about strengthening the business community, building meaningful partnerships, growing Chamber membership, and helping shape the future of one of Florida's growing communities.
The President/CEO serves as the chief executive officer of GPCC and works closely with the Board of Directors to advance the Chamber's mission, strategic priorities, and value to its members.
We are looking for more than an administrator. We are seeking a visible community leader, relationship builder, strategic thinker, and business advocate who can continue to grow the Chamber's impact throughout Greater Pasco.
What You'll Do
The President/CEO will:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversee the daily operations of the Greater Pasco Chamber.
- Work closely with the Board Chair and Board of Directors to implement the Chamber's strategic plan and annual business plan.
- Serve as a highly visible representative of GPCC throughout Pasco County and the Tampa Bay region.
- Build strong relationships with Chamber members, businesses, community organizations, educational institutions, and other regional partners.
- Develop strategies to grow Chamber membership while increasing member engagement and retention.
- Ensure Chamber programs, events, networking opportunities, and initiatives provide meaningful value to members.
- Identify and develop new sponsorships, partnerships, programs, and revenue opportunities.
- Oversee the Chamber's annual budget and maintain strong financial accountability.
- Recruit, supervise, develop, and evaluate Chamber staff.
- Oversee external communications and serve as a spokesperson for the organization.
- Represent Board-approved business community priorities with appropriate local and regional stakeholders.
- Identify emerging opportunities and challenges affecting Chamber members and the Greater Pasco business community.
- Promote a collaborative, professional, innovative, and member-focused organizational culture.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader who enjoys connecting people, developing partnerships, and being actively involved in the community.
Candidates should have:
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Economic Development, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible professional leadership experience.
- At least 3–5 years of senior management or executive leadership experience, including responsibility for staff, budgets, operations, and organizational performance.
- Demonstrated success developing relationships with business and community leaders.
- Experience with budgeting, revenue development, sponsorships, fundraising, membership development, business development, or similar activities.
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively with a volunteer Board of Directors.
- The flexibility to attend Chamber and community events outside traditional business hours when necessary.
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Previous leadership experience with a chamber of commerce, membership association, economic development organization, nonprofit organization, or similar community-based organization.
- A master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- IOM, CCE, CAE, or another relevant professional credential.
- Knowledge of Pasco County and the greater Tampa Bay business community.
The annual salary for this position is $90,000.
The successful candidate will receive four weeks of paid time off and paid holidays. A Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) and/or bonus structure may also be offered, depending on the final candidate and the compensation package that best meets their needs. Any bonus structure will be established in partnership with the Board of Directors.
