About Us

We advocate for and support children, young adults, and families impacted by abuse and neglect in Pinellas and Pasco Counties by collaborating with community partners and the Guardian ad Litem staff and volunteers who support the children we serve. Foster children in Pinellas and Pasco counties often need more help than the system can provide. Hero To A Child was founded to ensure that the basic rights and needs for every child in the Guardian ad Litem program are met. We work to ensure that there is a volunteer advocate for every abused, abandoned, or neglected child in Pinellas and Pasco counties by raising funds and resources for the Guardian ad Litem Program in Pinellas and Pasco Counties.

We envision a community where every child and young adult is safe, secure, and thriving. We believe every child deserves to have a permanent family and be well prepared for their future beyond foster care. Our long-term strategic vision is that every child in the child welfare system in Pinellas and Pasco Counties will have a voice in court.
