The public is invited to the kick off for Walk to End Alzheimer’s® Pasco County on May 17 from 12 PM at 12403 Eagleswood Dr, in Pasco County. This special event will give a glimpse of what this year's Walk will look like and a chance to learn more about the Alzheimer’s Association, how to get involved and create your own team. On Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, starting at 8 a.m., the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Pasco County will be held at Sims Park, Grand Blvd. & Bank St., in New Port Richey. More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease in the United States. In Florida, there are more than 580,000 people living with the disease and 870,000 unpaid dementia caregivers. Pasco County has an estimated 14,600 people or 11.3 percent over the age of 65 living with Alzheimer’s.
