DESCRIPTION:The Pioneer Florida Museum and Village in Dade City is proud to announce the upcoming exhibition of works by renowned artist Christopher Still\, which will be on display throughout the summer and will be included with regular admission.\n\nThe official opening reception is scheduled for July 17\, 2025\, at 6 PM in the Main Building of the museum. The public is invited to attend this special event.\n\nPasco County Commissioner Kathryn Starkey has generously loaned eight pieces from her private collection\, featuring works from Christopher Still's Florida House of Representatives series. Still has created ten murals commissioned by the Florida House of Representatives\, showcasing the state's rich historical and natural beauty. His contributions to the arts have earned him induction into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame\, and he serves as the Artist in Residence for the Florida Legislature. Additionally\, Florida State University has awarded him an honorary doctorate.\n\nChristopher Still's paintings are celebrated for their vivid portrayal of Florida's landscapes and culture\, and they can be found in prestigious institutions\, including the Governor's Mansion of Florida and the Smithsonian Institution. In the Tampa Bay Area\, his work is prominently displayed at St. Petersburg City Hall\, Tampa International Airport\, Ruth Eckerd Hall\, and other prominent locations throughout the state.\n\nIn conjunction with the Christopher Still exhibition\, the Pioneer Florida Museum will also feature other notable art collections in the Main Building. These include works by John B. Kotzbauer\, a renowned German Impressionist known for his paintings of Dade City\; the Charles D.W.
