Event Description:
      Joining Hands Mission at Asbury UMC, 4204 Thys Rd., New Port Richey continues into a second month with their new garden club, Mission Gardeners, who meet the first Tuesday of each month, 9:00 am to 10:30 am.  The gardeners meet for a faith exchange, an educational gardening speaker, plant project, refreshments and the club each month gives away a secret garden gift.  The next meeting is August 6, 2019, at the Fellowship Hall/ Joining Hands Mission, directly behind the Asbury Church and is free and open to the public with prior registration.  Call Tamera Mosier, Outreach Coordinator, at 727-264-1288, for any questions and to register. 
      The meeting agenda will include a faith exchange on the Parable of the Yeast Matthew 13: 33.  The University of Florida Institute for Food and Agriculture Standards Exchange Program provides educational gardening information through speakers each month. This month Pasco Master Gardener, Bob O’Brian will make a presentation on Fall Vegetable Gardening.  Mr. O'Brian not only is a Master Gardener; he facilitates several community gardens including some at elementary schools within Pasco County.
