Richey Suncoast Theatre is thrilled to announce a high-energy night of Southern rock as FREEBIRD – A Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute takes the stage on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Doors open at 6:15 PM.
 
Formed in 2002, FREEBIRD has earned a reputation as the premier Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, delivering electrifying performances that capture the spirit and sound of the legendary Southern rock pioneers. With a six-member lineup featuring powerful vocals, blazing guitar solos, honky-tonk piano, and a driving rhythm section, FREEBIRD brings Skynyrd’s greatest hits to life—from “Gimme Three Steps” to the epic anthem “Free Bird.”
 
Lead singer Al Mazzone channels the soulful grit of Ronnie Van Zant, bringing authenticity and passion to every note. “From the beginning, we felt the need to deliver the highest quality of music,” says Mazzone. That dedication has led FREEBIRD to sold-out shows across the East Coast and a loyal fan base that continues to grow.
