This training focuses on the critical link between understanding brain-based differences; such as those caused by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and the prevention of child abuse. Participants will gain insight into how prenatal substance exposure, trauma, and other factors can impact brain development and behavior. By learning to recognize these challenges as neurodevelopmental, caregivers and professionals can shift their perspectives from punishment to support, reducing frustration and the risk of abuse.
