Hear their story and gain insights into their journey to success.\n\n\n\nBill and Stacey Owen are a husband-and-wife team who have always had a desire to own their own business. After years of experimenting with various ideas\, they discovered a love for candle making and decided to turn their hobby into a DIY business.\n\n\n\nBill\, a former insurance agent and risk manager\, has a keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to craftsmanship. He enjoys experimenting with different scents and waxes\, always striving to create the perfect candle. Stacey\, a commercial insurance agent\, has always had a creative flair and a talent for graphic design. She designs the labels and packaging for their candles\, as well as managing their Etsy store and online store. Together\, they curated a collection of high-quality\, eco-friendly ingredients that customers could mix and match to create their own personalized candles.\n\n\n\nIn 2022 they launched their DIY candle concept in 167 of the Painting with a Twist franchises and in January of 2023\, they opened BDC Candle Bar in Lutz. Their store is quickly becoming a popular destination for birthdays\, bachelorette parties\, and other special occasions. Bill and Stacey are proud to have created a business that promotes creativity\, sustainability\, and community. They continue to experiment with new fragrances and designs\, always striving to offer their customers a one-of-a-kind candle-making experience that they won't soon forget.\n\n\n\nWhen they're not busy making candles at BDC Candle Bar\, Bill and Stacey enjoy spending time with their daughter Samantha\, exploring new restaurants\, and supporting other small businesses in their community.\n\n\n\nJoin us at PHSC - West Campus (NPR on Ridge Rd.) in the Conference Center in Building R.
